The Mesa College Tutoring and Computing Center (MT2C) officially received their certification from the College Reading and Learning Association’s (CRLA) International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) team. Nine Mesa tutors “graduated” on July 28, 2017 as the MT2C’s first CRLA Certified class of Mentor Tutors (Level 2 Advanced).

On Thursday, Sept. 20, San Diego Mesa College debuted their new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Center, located on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The new center, which is part of the STEM Conexiones Program, will support students, particularly full-time Hispanic and low-income students, and provide them with resources to succeed in various STEM majors.

San Diego Mesa College’s Scott T. Starbuck has landed his most recently published book, Hawk on Wire: Ecopoems, on the “Editor’s Pick” list on Newpages.com. The book focuses on climate change issues and the potential that can be developed from renewable energy in the next five years. He has a passion for bringing awareness to the unsustainable practices of today’s society and draws his readers in by using a unique approach through poems from imagined ghosts.

On Thursday, August 31st, San Diego Mesa College will host a Topping Out for the new Center for Business and Technology – one of Mesa’s final classroom building projects under Propositions S and N. The 60,000 gross-square-foot, two-story building will include classrooms and laboratories for courses in the School of Business and Technology.
