AAPI Recognition Ceremony
The Asian American Pacific Islander Recognition Ceremony (ARC) is held every spring to honor and celebrate the personal and academic achievements of our graduating AAPI student community. The ARC aims to be as inclusive as possible, celebrating our diverse Asian American Pacific Islander identities and communities by sharing the traditions and practices we uphold with one another. Celebrate your accomplishments with your friends, family, and peers this Spring 2024! You do not need to identify as AAPI to participate in this ceremony. ARC is open to all Fall 2023, Spring & Summer 2024 Mesa College Graduates.
Please submit your RSVP here by Monday, April 15, 2024 in order to participate in ARC.
The 2024 celebration will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Mesa Quad.
If you are interested in being the Student Speaker at ARC, please use this form to indicate your interest (coaching will be provided for the Student Speaker). The Student Speaker is a graduate from the AAPI student community at Mesa College and will share a 3-5 minute speech. It is an honor to be selected as the ARC Student Speaker, as they play an important role at the ceremony.
For any questions, please reach out to Patricia (Trish) Guevarra pguevarra001@sdccd.edu or Brianna (Brin) Balboa at bbalboa@sdccd.edu.
