One-hour appointments are typically utilized to create your comprehensive education plan, discuss transfer and career planning, submit financial aid appeals, and more.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a counseling appointment if you meet the following criteria:
- Are currently enrolled in at least one class at Mesa,
- Have completed a semester of college coursework, and
- Have all transcripts from outside of California received and evaluated, if applicable. Note: Transcript evaluation is a two step process. Official transcripts must be sent to the district (step 1). Upon receipt of transcripts, an evaluation must then be requested (step 2).

Students who do not meet the appointment criteria should contact the Counseling department to connect with a counselor for a same-day drop-in: please see Types of Counseling Sessions for details.
Note: To schedule an appointment online through ESARS, Mesa must be your home college or you must be currently enrolled in a Mesa College course. Appointments can be scheduled during the hours of 8:00am - 11:59pm.

Expectations for Remote Counseling Sessions
- Be in a quiet and private place.
- Have access to a computer to access your portal and relevant resources.
- For your safety, driving during a remote session is not permitted.
- If you have prior college experience, be prepared to have unofficial transcripts available to share with a counselor.
