MESA COLLEGE THEATRE COMPANY

The Theatre Company produces four to five productions annually.  Auditions are open to student, staff, faculty and all members of the community. All participants involved with productions enroll for course credit.  Please check back frequently to learn about audition notices which are held regularly at the top of each semester.  

Fall 2024

Defying Gravity

by Jane Anderson 

Directed by Liz Shipman. 

Defying Gravity explores the relationship between Elizabeth and her mother, Christa McAulife - the first civilian astronaut to perish in the 1986 Shuttle tragedy.  This poetic meditation explores what it means to maintain hope, creativity and exploration  amid dversity.

New Play Festival

A collaboration with Do Tell Theatre and the Mesa College Theatre CompanyStudent written, and student produced. The Faculty inspired by recent graduates and major who wrote and produced their own short selections over summer 2024 have partnered with the students on a co-production.  Don't miss this collection of unique, original, and very contemporary shorts playsfor all audiences.
