Mesa Counseling - Let's Begin, Let's Finish

Welcome to San Diego Mesa College! Mesa's Counseling Department is committed to providing the highest quality of services and assistance to students.

We've created numerous online resources that allow you to complete many processes completely online. Let's Begin are the steps you will need to take to get started and enrolled into classes.  Let's Finish are all the ways you can continue on your path to achieve your educational/academic goals.

Let's Begin

  • Be Admitted - apply: CCCApply 
    • Student Milestones (English and Math levels) will be determined after completion of CCCApply.
  • Be Financed - Where to find the money
  • Be Advised
    • Before: Complete our orientation
    • After: Putting it Together: Attend a Pre-Registration Workshop for an Abbreviated Education Plan
    • Follow-up: Career Services; Career and major exploration

      By completing all three steps in Be Advised, you will be eligible for an earlier registration date!
  • Be Enrolled - register online/pay for your classes: mySDCCD
  • Be Ready - Purchase your textbooks, pick up your ID card and parking permit

  • Be Supported - Student Services
    • Your Mesa Journey: Learn about services and programs you may be eligible for to help you achieve your goals
    • Counseling: Comprehensive Ed Plan
    • Veterans Affairs (VA)
    • Disability Support Programs and Services
    • International students
    • Support Services: EOPS, Star. Tutoring, LRC

Need to submit your official college transcripts or test scores?
Email all official college transcripts to tinquiry@sdccd.edu.  You may also send your transcript via physical mail, but please keep in mind it may be severely delayed until we are permitted to return to the office:

To request an official evaluation of your transcripts:
Complete a Request for Transcript Evaluation available in the Counseling Office (I4-303). (Allow approximately 4-6 weeks for your transcript/s to arrive)

 

To apply for financial aid:
Complete FAFSA and the California College Promise Grant, formerly Board of Governors Waiver (BOG-W).
