PLACEMENT IN CLASSES

Students that enroll in classes on Mesa's campus must meet the pre-requisites for the classes in which they wish to enroll.  These pre-requisites need to be cleared through Mesa Admissions prior to enrolling.  

Students who enroll in classes on their high school campus need to meet pre-requisite requirements as well.  We rely on high school counselors to appropriately determine whether or not students have met the appropriate pre-requisites and are ready to enroll in a college class.  Students should demonstrate good study habits, strong academic potential and motivation among other qualities.  When placing students in courses that have prerequisites, please use an appropriate multiple-measure approach (i.e. grades in the high school class equivalent to the prerequisite, teacher recommendations, etc.). We can put you in contact with appropriate discipline faculty at Mesa if you need help in determining placement.
