The Global Awareness Committee is a shared governance committee at San Diego Mesa College that accepts applications from faculty interested in leading study abroad programs. Proposals are being accepted on an on-going basis for pilot-programs abroad, provided that faculty are experienced international travelers and have led a group abroad in the past. The committee meets on the third Friday of every month in LRC 208 from 12:00-2:00 to review applications. The meeting schedule for 2012-13 is as follows: Sep.21; Oct.19; Nov.16; Dec.14 (holiday lunch); Feb 15 (holiday- rescheduled for Feb.22); Mar.15; Apr.19; May 17.
