Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass Option
Description: This interdisciplinary course is designed for students interested in meeting general education requirements in humanities. The course develops students' understanding and appreciation of humankind's cultural heritage from the Upper Paleolithic (ca. 40,000 BCE) to approximately 1400 CE. A survey is made of the literature, philosophy, music, painting, architecture, and sculpture of both Western and non-Western civilizations.
