Description: This course covers the fundamentals of traditional and electronic records management. Topics include indexing and the major filing methods; selection of systems, equipment, and supplies; design, control, and maintenance of inactive records; and the role of records management and the records manager in the information industry. This course is designed to prepare students for employment in the field of Records Information Management (RIM) and for students interested in records management.
