Paul received his B.A. in Public Administration from San Diego State University and a MBA in Business Administration from National University, San Diego. He has worked for the Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District for 18 years; served as Registrar for the San Diego Community College District Office and Mesa College before coming to the Independent Learning Center in 1996. Paul has had a lifetime fascination with surfing since 1969 - in Hawaii, and turned professional representing several local surf shops in competition. In the past, he has been a member of the National Scholastic Surfing Association and Western Surfing Association.
