Joseph Halcott, Department Chair, began teaching American Sign Language during the Spring 1997 semester. He comes to Mesa from Albuquerque, where he was educational interpreter for Albuquerque Public School and a contract interpreter at Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. His B.A. in Communications Arts is from Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C. and his masters degree is from the University of New Mexico.
