Mr. Kalck has more than five years of experience in his field, including experience at the community college level. Since Spring 2006, he has held an adjunct position at Mesa College as a counselor in Financial Aid, and has worked in broader areas within student services, including the Career Center, the Transfer Center, the Mesa Academy, and various high school outreach programs. He has also taught Personal Growth classes.
In 2005-2006, Mr. Kalck held a position as Associate Counselor/Online Advisor at Mount San Jacinto College, and from 2003-2005 he held various counseling positions, particularly in special programs for traditionally underrepresented student populations, at California State University, San Marcos. In both of these positions, he developed formal partnerships with several community-based organizations and secondary schools.
Mr. Kalck has been involved in several service organizations and activities, including collaboration with area theaters and museums to afford low or no cost cultural “plunge” opportunities for students from Palomar and CSU San Marcos. From 1999-2002, he served as Evening Supervisor and Mental Health Technician for the Pemarro residential treatment facility in Ramona, California, and has also been a Youth Counselor and Teen Center Supervisor for the Boys and Girls Club of Ramona.
