Dr. Michael Harrison is an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Languages Department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Furman University in Greenville, SC, a Master’s degree in Spanish from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of California, Irvine.
Before arriving at Mesa College in 2013, Dr. Harrison was an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL for four years. In addition to teaching Spanish language courses at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, Dr. Harrison also conducts research on the literatures and cultures of Spain, with a particular emphasis on queer graphic narrative and comics.
