CHIC 141A United States History from a Chicano Perspective

Description: This course is a survey of early American history from the Mexican/Chicano perspective. Emphasis is placed on the period of discovery to the period of Reconstruction with emphasis on the evolution, influence, and experience of the Chicano. Students analyze Chicano contributions to the political, social, economic, and cultural development of the United States. This course is intended for all students interested in history, ethnic studies, or other social sciences.
