Description: This course is an advanced study of the theory and practice of black and white photographic image making. Emphasis is placed on increasing students' visual literacy with black and white photography from both technical and conceptual perspectives. Topics include composition, creative control of materials, light logic and advanced photographic theory. This course is intended for art majors and all those interested in increasing their competency in photographic image making, exploring new methodologies and producing gallery-level art work.
