Description: This course covers historical development, chemical and physical properties, as well as the agencies responsible for the standards of dental materials. The preparation of dental materials and their effect on the oral environment are examined. The dental assisting student will learn the effects of proper and improper manipulation and the safe practice of handling dental materials.
