PHYR 114 Introduction To Human Movement

2 hours lecture, 3 hours lab, 3 units

Description: This course introduces the student Physical Therapist Assistant to the relationship between physical laws and the biomechanical principles of joint motion as well as the concepts of normal posture and human locomotion contrasted with obvious posture and gait deviations. The course also provides the students with the opportunity to apply kinesiological concepts to the body's major joints in performing basic exercise applications with the client who has an orthopedic condition.
