Description: This course introduces students to the Internet. Students receive hands-on practice using a web browser to navigate the World Wide Web and link to Internet resources. Topics include creating and sending e-mail, FTP and file downloading, locating newsgroups and other discussion tools, and conducting business on the Internet. This course is intended for students majoring in a variety of applied computer fields. This course may be repeated three times to update skills as browser technologies change.
