HIST 141 Women in United States History I

Description: This course, which covers the history of the United States from its colonial origins through the period of Reconstruction, provides a special emphasis on the history and role of women, who in their diverse contributions influenced the history of the nation and its developing economic, social, and political institutions. The course requires students to analyze a variety of materials, think critically, and write thesis-based essays. This course may be of interest to students interested in Women's Studies.
