Description: This course is a study of the chemical, physical and mechanical properties of engineering materials including metals, ceramics, polymers and composites. Emphasis is placed on function and structure as they relate to specific design considerations. This course is designed for the transfer student planning to major in engineering or disciplines included in the physical sciences.
