1. How do I get started at Mesa?
- File an application in Admissions Office or on line at https://applyonline.communitycollege.net/studentappview.cfm
- Enroll in Personal Growth 65 - Orientation to College
- Request official transcripts from other colleges attended
- Once your transcripts have arrived, request that your transcripts be evaluated for course equivalencies
2. How can I make an appointment to see a counselor?
Appointments are available during non-peak times. (2nd week through the 12th week of the fall and spring semester) Students can call (619) 388-2672 or come to I430 to schedule a counselor appointment beginning at 8am . Appointments are made one week in advance on a first come, first serve basis.
3. Have my transcripts arrived?
Students may stop by the Records Department, Room I408 to see if transcripts from other colleges have been received.
4. Have my transcripts been evaluated/posted?
It is the responsibility of the student to request that their transcripts be evaluated for course equivalency. A counselor or staff person must submit a program adjustment form which will be forwarded to the Evaluators.
5. How can I sign up for the TAG program?
Students must sign-up for TAG Workshops before signing their TAG contract. You must be pre-screened by a counselor before scheduling an appointment to sign your TAG contract. See the counseling office or Transfer Center for specific deadlines.
6.Can I see a counselor on a drop-in basis?
Yes, on a first come first serve basis, however, drop-in counseling is limited time to answer quick short and brief advisement questions.
7. How do I schedule an appointment if I am going to use Veteran benefits?
Veteran students receiving benefits can schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor through the Veterans office. Please call (619) 388-2805 or stop by I408 to schedule an appointment.
