Fall 2020 Meet N'Greet - Prof. Don Barrie (Geology) |
There is a shortage in California schools for math and science teachers. The San Diego Mesa College Teacher Education Program offers students who want to become STEM middle school and high school teachers the support and guidance necessary to follow this Teacher Ed Pathway. Our goal is to prepare students on this pathway at Mesa to become linguistically and culturally diverse STEM teachers who will teach at school districts in San Diego County.
If you are interested in teaching math or science, we invite you to submit an application for the STEM Teacher Ed 2020-2021 Program. As a STEM Teacher Ed student, you can complete your Teacher Education courses with a focus on STEM so you can transfer and earn your degree and teaching credential. You will also receive incentives such as a SurfacePro laptop on loan and complimentary WebAssign Math access codes for your math classes. Complete the STEM Teacher Ed application and see if you qualify!
