LastThe Last Cyclist

By Naomi Patz
Directed by Kris Clark

The was an old joke among the Jews living in Europe between the two world wars:

First Man: The Jews and the cyclist are responsible for all the problems of the world.

Second Man: Why the cyclists?

Third Man: Why the Jews?

The Last Cyclist tells of the inmates in an insane asylum who take over the world, and   their dictatorial leader, Ma'am, once had a psychiatrist who stuck needles in her arms.  This psychiatrist rode a a bicycle, so former inmates figure that if they get rid of all the cyclists in the world their troubles will be over.  In a world where building a wall and refusing entry to an entire population are being touted as solutions to all of our problems, shouldn't we question the sanity of unfettered prejudice and oppression?
