Board of Trustees
On October 24, 2006 San Diego Mesa College hosted its annual meeting of the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees. This annual event affords the campus community an opportunity to showcase faculty, student and program achievements. This year, the Mesa presentation revolved around the theme of "Explore, Connect, Succeed" that was introduced in the College's fall orientation sessions.
In her campus-wide email posted on Oct. 25, President Rita Cepeda made the following comments , "The Mesa presentation was a great event showcasing the talent and scholarship of our students. Shining through every presentation was the clear hand of talented faculty and staff guiding the educational journey for each of our students."
Chancellor Constance Carroll commented, "The Mesa College presentation at this evening's Board of Trustees meeting was tremendous. The Board and I were impressed, both by the content and by seeing some of the programs 'in action.' Organizing the presentation along the same lines as the college's annual report was an effective way of presenting the material in a thematic manner, and it was wonderful to hear from so many members of the faculty, staff and student body. And all of this was accomplished in less than an hour! Please convey to all who worked on this presentation the Board's and my congratulations on a job well done."
